i tried making the zigzag using the intructions on this site but i always ended up with the knot 'round with 6 or 8 strands'. What could i be doing worng? I followed the pics rly carefully. Plz help. Thnkx  |

The trick to make a zigzag is that you change the direction of your knotting...
So start knotting round for like 8 times or so... than just make 1 straight knot. and start making round knots again and make that 8 times too.
Because the one straight knot you made you will go the other way around ....

The first knots will go easy, but after you have done 1 straight knot it will feel different making the knots. You do the knots the other way than you are used to. After doing this two times or so it will get better, and you will have a nice zigzag scoubidou.
